Our Vision: Casa Carnota Co-Living

In the heart of the picturesque Carnota Bay, a visionary community living project unfolds with the ambitious goal of bringing together a diverse group of lovely individuals in a harmonious blend of living and working. At its core, this initiative envisions a close-knit community that thrives on shared values of sustainability, creativity, and mutual support. The breathtaking natural beauty of Carnota Bay serves as an inspiring backdrop, encouraging residents to embrace a lifestyle that is both environmentally conscious and socially enriching both within the community and the local population.

The project seeks to create a sustainable ecosystem where residents actively engage in mindfulness, organic farming, health-focused activities and eco-friendly initiatives, fostering a strong connection with the surrounding community and environment. Embracing the principles of co-living, the community is designed to encourage meaningful interactions and collaborations, promoting a culture of openness and inclusivity.

Workspaces within the community are carefully crafted to stimulate creativity and innovation, fostering a conducive environment for professional growth and collaboration among residents pursuing diverse fields. We are providing a creative space for the community to get creative in the fields of music, movement, gardening, arts and crafts such as pottery, painting and any creative hoppy we can support. Through communal spaces, such as shared gardens, workshops, and communal kitchens, workshop areas and creative outdoor spaces the community aspires to cultivate a sense of belonging and collective responsibility.

The Carnota Bay community living project is not just a physical space but a shared vision for a better way of life, where individuals come together to build a supportive, sustainable, and inspiring environment. As residents live and work side by side, the project aims to demonstrate the potential for harmonious coexistence between people and nature, showcasing a model for future communities rooted in love, creativity, and a commitment to the well-being of both residents and the environment.

Phase 1: Renovations

Together with a strong team of local and our community visionaries, architects and hands-on working class heroes we are starting the first phase of the extensive renovations that will transform the place into one of its kind. Renovations will take a few years in order to steadily upgrade the house, build new houses and structures and shape the garden. Ultimately the acquisition and possible expansion of the land we have will take some time and is tied to more productive constructions. Our goals for the first phase that will finish in June:

  • Improvements to the existing 2 house:
We aim to create a bigger community kitchen and living space with a separate toilet and better insulation in all walls
  • Central heating for warm water and wall heating radiators:
We are installing a sophisticated Pallets Oven system to heat the entire house and coming additions to the house.
  • Community Outdoor Kitchen:
Renovating the existing stone shed to create a 40m2 community living kitchen with a sea view terrace.
  • Ground Floor renovation
Shaping 3 en-suite bedrooms and a Co-Working Office on the ground floor with extra toilet.
